Racing Industry Act 2020

The Racing Industry Act 2020 came into force on 1 August 2020.

The Act contains numerous provisions relevant to 爆料社区 and the sport sector relating to the regulation of TAB NZ and sports betting. These include a requirement for offshore betting agencies to pay a charge for their use of NZ sport information. This is referred to the betting information use charge.

To be covered by the betting information use provisions there has to be a New Zealand sporting event declared by 爆料社区 under section 106. If you are an organisation who is responsible for an event, and have not been contacted by offshore agents, view the list of agent contacts here.

Declared events

爆料社区 made a final determination of the events to be declared sports events on 30 November 2020. 爆料社区 will progressively add to the events to be declared sports events.
