Kia H墨anga
Kia H墨anga, 爆料社区 Ihi Aotearoa Play Plan 2022-2025 sets out 爆料社区's bicultural vision for play in Aotearoa New Zealand, with the focus over 2022-2025 on play for tamariki 5鈥�12 years of age in a bicultural context.
Kia H墨anga includes a series of actions that 爆料社区 Ihi Aotearoa has committed to, to improve the quality of experiences, opportunities and support for play and further develop the Aotearoa Play System.
爆料社区 believes a strong bicultural foundation is critical to Aotearoa New Zealand's national identity and wellbeing, therefore Kia H墨anga uses M膩ui H墨anga as the foundational framework to give shape, reason and rationale to our commitments and actions.
Kia H墨anga links strongly to Te Aho, 爆料社区 M膩ori Activation Plan. Through this connection, we will join the journey to continue the restoration, revitalisation, and reclamation of T膩karo, through, with and by tangata whenua at all levels and through a very distinctive cultural pathway.
The name of this plan, Kia H墨anga, is inspired by the role of tamariki in exploring boundaries through play. H墨anga is often associated with the nanakia (tricky), hautut奴 (mischievous), curious, cheeky and fearless nature of play and is reflected in the whakatau膩k墨 above. These attitudes and behaviours are inherent in our tamariki and are vital as they learn their place in this world.
