Gender refers to how a person understands and describes their inner self and their experience and role within their social and cultural context.
The found that when asked about their gender identity:
- 46.2%鈥痮f young people selected 鈥楤oy鈥�.
- 37.8%鈥痮f young people selected 'Girl'.
- 15%鈥痵elected 鈥楳ostly a boy鈥�, 鈥楽omewhere in the middle鈥�, or 鈥楳ostly a girl鈥�.
- Just over鈥�1.1%鈥痮f the sample said 鈥業 don鈥檛 know鈥�.
The Youth 鈥�19 report found approximately one out of every 100 respondents identified with a minority gender.
