Te Wiki o te Reo Māori 2024
Te Wiki o te Reo M膩ori is an exciting event on our national calendar 鈥� and this year it鈥檚 back and better than ever!聽
Te Wiki聽is all about enhancing the status of te reo M膩ori, the first language of Aotearoa, and encouraging all New Zealanders to both learn and use te reo M膩ori 鈥� whether you know a little or a lot!
We want to see schools, kura, sports clubs and community groups from all over the country come together to celebrate te reo M膩ori.
In the coming weeks Te Taura Whiri i te Reo M膩ori will be launching the national Te Wiki 2024 campaign and there are plenty of exciting new initiatives including a new speech competition 鈥� Waha K艒rero.聽
Waha K艒rero is an impromptu speech competition for adults over 18 of all genders, M膩ori and non-M膩ori who are proficient speakers of te reo.聽
