He Oranga Poutama
He Oranga Poutama
He Oranga Poutama is 爆料社区鈥檚 longest-running kaupapa M膩ori programme. It helps wh膩nau, hapori and iwi M膩ori to be active in ways that reflect te ao M膩ori 鈥 a M膩ori worldview. The goal is simple: wh膩nau-led, wh膩nau-driven and hap奴 and iwi supported.
Every rohe is different. For some, it鈥檚 about strategic partnerships and services. For others, it鈥檚 about building capability or guiding delivery at a local level. Whatever it looks like, He Oranga Poutama is always grounded in te reo M膩ori, tikanga M膩ori and te taiao or the natural world and spaces like marae and awa. The focus is on participation and leadership for M膩ori and physical activity is the driver.
This programme contributes to Te P膩k膿 o Ihi Aotearoa, 爆料社区鈥檚 M膩ori Outcomes Framework, and advances Mauri Ora outcomes of cultural identity, connection and vitality through:
- 弄办补颈辫艒 鈥 strengthening M膩ori identity and leadership.
- Whanaungatanga 鈥 building relationships and participation in communities.
- Rangatiratanga 鈥 empowering M膩ori to flourish in physical activities as M膩ori.
Being active isn鈥檛 just about fitness 鈥 it鈥檚 about identity, connection and hauora. When M膩ori can move in ways that celebrate who they are, it strengthens communities and leadership for the future.
